There will never be another Nick Saban.
A resolution to debut Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium was approved in July by Alabama, a no-brainer move to honor the legendary former Alabama coach.
College GameDay made a move to honor Saban this Saturday ahead of Week 2, featuring video tributes from former Alabama players such as Derrick Henry, Dont’a Hightower and Mark Ingram II. Henry told Saban that he didn’t only make him a better player, but also a better person.
Check out Henry’s message, as well as the messages from other Alabama players below:
“You’re the goat. … Not only did you make me a better player, you made me a better person as well.”

Saban won 206 games at Alabama (210 recognized by NCAA) and won over 87% of his games at Alabama. He’s produced 49 first-round draft picks (44 from Alabama) and won 7 national titles (6 at Alabama.)
Not to mention, his impact is astounding. Coaches such as Kirby Smart, Steve Sarkisian, Lane Kiffin, Mario Cristobal and so many more can trace their coaching careers back to Saban at some point.
In short, Saban is one of the best to ever do it. As if we needed to tell you that.
