Derrick Henry had an outstanding college career at Alabama, even winning the Heisman Trophy in 2015.

He ran for 2,219 yards and 28 touchdowns that season, helping the Tide win the national championship over Clemson.

Now that he’s off to the NFL, an old tweet from 2012 resurfaced recently, in which he says he’s going to win the Heisman Trophy. As you can see below, he used that tweet resurfacing to make a pitch to recruits on Twitter:

Henry led the Tennessee Titans to the AFC Championship Game this past season before they lost to eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City.

Currently, Alabama has the No. 47 overall recruiting class in the 2021 cycle and the No. 10 class in the SEC, per 247Sports. That is sure to change, and recruiting pitches like Henry’s will only help.
