It’s been all over the internet this week. Everybody was impressed by Derrick Henry’s stiff arm against Josh Norman during Tuesday night’s Buffalo Bills-Tennessee Titans game.

There was one problem Henry had with the play, though — he only gained 4 yards on it.

While breaking down the play during an appearance on “The Dan Patrick Show” on Thursday, the former Alabama running back shared what went through his head during the impressive play.

“I was looking at him, I was so focused on him when I stiff-armed him, by the time I realized where I was at, I was already on the sideline,” Henry said on the show. “Didn’t even realize it. I was still caught up in it, I looked up, I was right by my teammates on the sideline.”

Henry may have gotten only 4 yards on that play, but he finished with 57 yards and two touchdowns in the Titans’ 42-16 victory. And that was after Tennessee hadn’t played in more than two weeks due to a COVID-19 outbreak.

But it was Henry’s stiff-arm play that got much of the social-media attention, as it was a truly impressive feat, even if the run wasn’t as successful as he had hoped.

Henry will look to help the Titans keep their undefeated start going when they host the Houston Texans on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
