Derrick McFall, one of the top running backs in the Class of 2024, announced Monday that he has cut his list to 6, including 3 SEC programs.
Alabama, Florida and Texas A&M all made the cut for McFall. As did Texas, which is set to join the SEC in 2024. The other 2 options McFall is considering are TCU and Louisville.
It’s fair to say McFall seems to want to stay at semi-close to home in Tyler, Texas. He’s fresh off unofficial visits to Texas (March 3) and Texas A&M (March 4) and has visited with the Aggies numerous times since being offered in mid-2022. According to On3 Sports, TCU is also a major player for McFall.
But that doesn’t mean Alabama and Florida are out for the count. He released his top 6 Monday evening via Twitter:

McFall is considered to be the No. 235 overall prospect in the country according to 247Sports’ rankings. He’s also considered to be the No. 20 overall athlete and the No. 39 player out of the Lone Star State.
