Desmond Howard broke down the LSU-Texas A&M game during Saturday’s episode of College GameDay.

Howard said the key for Texas A&M winning this game will be creating explosive plays on offense.

“I’ll tell you what guys, I think A&M is going to have to come up with some explosive plays on offense,” Howard said. “Because I do believe that the Bayou Bengals will come in there and score some points.”

Here’s Howard’s full thoughts on the matter, including a brief film review:

Texas A&M has done a solid job of creating big plays in recent weeks. The Aggies have produced 22 plays of 20+ yards so far in 4 SEC games, which ranks tied for third amongst all SEC programs.

LSU’s defense has been pretty good at preventing explosive plays, however. The Tigers have allowed just 13 plays of 20 or more yards in 3 SEC contests to begin the year. The Tigers especially did a good job of limiting such plays against Ole Miss a couple of weeks ago.

Whoever wins this battle may end up victorious at the end of the day — and in first place in the SEC standings.
