Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers absorbed some pain on Saturday thanks to the Alabama pass rush, particularly early in the game. Rogers was sacked twice in a sequence of 3 plays including one where Christian Harris smothered Rogers, and landed on his right shoulder.

That was likely the play where Rogers suffered an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder, a source familiar with the situation told The Clarion Ledger.

Rogers is considered โ€œday-to-day,โ€ the paper reported, ahead of the Bulldogsโ€™ game against Vanderbilt. Rogers underwent an MRI on Sunday.

The timing of the injury appeared to happen late in the first quarter of the 49-9 loss. It was a third-and-6, as Harris combined with Brian Branch on one of 7 sacks of Rogers.

Rogers was in visible pain, and reached several times for his shoulder, and then went to the injury tent, but returned minutes later.

Rogers finished with 3 interceptions, and passed for 300 yards on 35-for-55 passing.
