Former Alabama pitcher Spencer Turnbull had the game of his life on Tuesday evening, as he threw the first no-hitter of his career.
The Detroit Tigers starting pitcher helped his team beat the Seattle Mariners 5-0 in the process.
“It is by far the best night of my life, most exciting and it’s definitely kind of like one of those landmark stamps on my career up to this point,” Turnbull said after the game, according to ESPN.
Turnbull becomes just the second Tiger to throw a no-hitter since 1984, joining Justin Verlander in elite company.
