It didn’t take Devin White long to make his presence felt on the field. Formerly a touted recruit, White saw the field early in his collegiate career and quickly developed into one of LSU’s best players by his second season on campus.

As the LSU linebacker describes it, he understood that to become a leader for the defense, he would have to step up his game and prove why others should listen to what he has to say. After leading the team in tackles as a true sophomore, it’s clear he now has the ear of his teammates in Baton Rouge.

In an interview for the program’s most recent Inside the Huddle feature, White explained his path to become a leader in Baton Rouge and what to expect of the Tiger defense in 2018. It’s clear White’s goal for the unit is the same as it is for himself, to be the best in the nation.
