De’Von Achane left Saturday’s game with an injury. He was carted off the field and went to the locker room during the first half against the Houston Texans.
Achane attended Texas A&M from 2020-2023. The Miami Dolphins picked Achane in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Achane had 1,102 yards rushing in his final season at College Station.
The former Aggie was slammed onto his right shoulder after a long run in the second quarter. Achane appeared to be holding his right arm while being carted off the field.
Devon Achane injury –
Was looking at the end of his long run. He was slammed down onto his right shoulder. Looked like he may have been holding his arm while carted into the locker room.

Before Saturday’s injury, Achane was competing for a spot in the Miami backfield. Some of the other running backs on the roster include Myles Gaskin, Raheem Mostert, and Salvon Ahmed.
Hopefully for Achane’s sake the injury will not be as serious as it looked. We’ll see if Achane’s status for the final preseason game changes.
The Dolphins are ending the preseason with a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Aug. 26.
Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. ET.
