It’s yet another busy weekend of football this weekend, with the NFL entering Week 6 and college football hitting Week 7 (the season is flying by).
There are some great games on Saturday (hello, Washington-Oregon, USC-Notre Dame, Tennessee-Texas A&M and others) and Sunday (49ers-Browns, for example).
There are also some great values on the board at Underdog, and each week, Saturday Down South’s DFS experts — Andrew Olson and Adam Spencer — provide 3 CFB picks and 2 NFL picks each.

Our Week 7 College Football Picks
Andrew Olson
Spencer Rattler, South Carolina: Higher than 250.5 passing yards
Rattler and the Gamecocks had a miserable night in Gainesville last year. Not only was it a blowout loss for South Carolina, but Rattler got the meme treatment as UF celebrated 400-pounder Desmond Watson’s stiff arm of the Gamecock QB after a fumble recovery. Rattler has certainly had this game circled, and Florida’s noted road woes will lead to some big plays in the passing game.
Trevor Etienne, Florida: Higher than 61.5 rushing yards
Etienne comes in averaging 6 yards per carry with a workload that has varied in 5 games. Etienne is the greater home run threat of UF’s 1-2 punch with Montrell Johnson. The Gators don’t want to fall behind early, and getting Etienne going on the ground is a good way to do that.
Brock Bowers, Georgia: Higher than 75.5 receiving yards
Yep, I’m going with Bowers again. Do I have a man crush? Maybe, but I prefer to call it a money crush. The Vanderbilt defense allowed 7 catches for 99 yards and 2 touchdowns in Week 6 to Florida TE Arlis Boardingham. It’s not a knock on Boardingham to say Bowers is a different beast for the Commodore defense to try to contain.

Carson Beck, Georgia: Lower than 304.5 pass yards
This isn’t a knock on Beck at all, as he’s finished with 305+ passing yards in each of his last 3 games. I just don’t think Georgia will use its QB1 much in the second half of this game if the first half goes the way I expect it to. He’ll throw for 200+ yards and 2-3 TDs as the Bulldogs build a big halftime lead and then watch Brock Vandagriff get some work after the intermission.
Jabari Small, Tennessee: Higher than 34.5 rushing yards
Small has gone over this total in every single game this season. He’s seen his role as a receiver diminish, but he still gets plenty of opportunities to tote the rock. Yes, the Aggies have a better defense than Tennessee has seen thus far, but Small should find plenty of room to run.
Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State: Higher than 88.5 receiving yards
The Buckeyes have feasted on weaker teams this year, and Purdue is not an elite Big Ten team this year by any means. Harrison has reached 100+ receiving yards 3 times in 5 games already this season. I expect him to do it a fourth time on Saturday against the Boilermakers.
Our Week 6 NFL Picks
Andrew Olson
Gardner Minshew, Indianapolis Colts: Higher than 236.5 pass+rush yards
The stache is back in Jax. Minshew Mania returns to the Bold City as the enemy on Sunday as the Colts face the Jaguars. This time, Minshew will have the Jacksonville fans chanting “boo.” Hopefully the Colts have a Smithers on the sideline to tell Minshew they’re shouting “Duuuval” in memory of the good times.
Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams: Higher than 87.5 receiving yards
For 4 long weeks, fantasy owners were patiently waiting like 50 Cent, but Cooper Kupp SZN is finally here. Kupp picked up right where he left off with 8 catches for 118 yards in Week 5. I don’t see the Arizona Cardinals’ secondary slowing him down in Week 6.
Adam Spencer
Jordan Addison, Minnesota: Higher than 54.5 receiving yards
I absolutely love this pick. Someone needs to pick up the slack after star Vikings WR Justin Jefferson was placed on IR with a hamstring injury. Addison has looked solid and has lived up to his Round 1 résumé, but now is when he can really have a breakout game against a bad Chicago defense.
Dameon Pierce, Houston: Higher than 51.5 rushing yards
Pierce has gone over this total in each of his last 2 games, so he’s finally starting to hit his stride. As long as CJ Stroud and the Houston receivers don’t fall flat, there should be some running room for Pierce against a solid New Orleans defense. I like him to finish with 60-ish rushing yards on Sunday.
