Dillon Bell exited Saturday’s game against No. 7 Tennessee in the first half with a lower-body injury.

According to ESPN’s Holly Rowe, the Georgia receiver was being evaluated on the sideline for a high-ankle/lower-shin injury to his left leg. Bell was injured on a run play late in the second half and, when he left the field, seemed to struggle to put weight on his left leg.

“As he was limping off the sideline he was very emotional,” Rowe said during the ABC broadcast.

According to multiple reports, Georgia said only that Bell was out “for now.” It’s unclear what exactly he’s dealing with or if he’ll be able to return to the game in the second half.

Rowe reported that Georgia had “a ton” in the offensive gameplan for Bell against Tennessee. At the time of his departure, he had 2 receptions for 12 yards and 1 carry for 2 yards. He drew 7 targets in the first half to lead all Georgia pass-catchers.

Tight end Oscar Delp led all Georgia players with 56 receiving yards and 2 scores on 4 catches.

The 12th-ranked Bulldogs went into the half in a 17-17 tie. Quarterback Carson Beck threw 2 first-half touchdown passes and Georgia outgained Tennessee. The Dawgs trailed 10-0 early but clawed back into the game.
