Which SEC school has the best athletic department?

That’s what the Learfield Directors’ Cup standings attempt to find.

Each and every year the final Directors’ Cup standings are released and points are awarded based on each school’s finish in NCAA Championships. The Directors’ Cup is a joint effort between National Associated of Collegiate Directors of Athletics and USA Today.

The Stanford Cardinal finished ranked No. 1 for 2018. The school finished with four national championships this year — men’s soccer, women’s soccer, women’s swimming and diving and women’s tennis.

The highest ranked SEC school was Florida at No. 3. Two other SEC schools finished in the top 10: Georgia (8) and Texas A&M (10).

Here’s where every SEC school finished:

3. Florida Gators
8. Georgia Bulldogs
10. Texas A&M Aggies
14. Alabama Crimson Tide
16. Arkansas Razorbacks
17. Kentucky Wildcats
18. Auburn Tigers
