DJ Uiagalelei interception sets up Boston College TD, leads to chants for FSU QB change
DJ Uiagalelei is having about as bad of a start to a season as a quarterback can have.
The former Clemson and Oregon State QB received plenty of criticism after his Seminoles fell to Georgia Tech in Week 0. Now, in Week 1, things are going from bad to worse.
Uiagalelei completed just 8-of-21 passes in the first half for 108 yards. The QB missed several open throws, and as a result, the Noles were down 14-6 heading into the break.
In the team’s first drive of the 3rd quarter, things got even worse somehow.
Faced with a 4th & 5, the Noles decided to go for it. Unfortunately, the play resulted in an interception that would be returned 58 yards to set up the Eagles in the red zone.

It would take just two plays for the Eagles to capitalize as Kyle Robichaux caught a 4-yard TD pass.

After that sequence of events, Seminole fans had seen enough. Chants of “We want Brock” were audible on the TV broadcast. These chants, of course, refer to Brock Glenn, Uiagalelei’s backup.

It’s a tough look any time a fanbase turns on one of its own players, but it’s not hard to understand their frustration.
