Former Arkansas tight end offers to coach the position for Sam Pittman’s Razorback program

If you missed the news on Friday, Sam Pittman apparently has a new opening on his Arkansas coaching staff.
After already having to find a new receivers coach, Justin Stepp left Pittman’s program to return closer to home and coach the position for Shane Beamer’s South Carolina program, the Razorbacks are now searching for a new tight ends coach as Jon Cooper is no longer on staff in Fayetteville, according to Trey Biddy of 247Sports.
Cooper had been on the job for just one season.
While offensive coordinator Kendal Briles will likely have his pick of options to coach the tight ends in Fayetteville next season, former Razorback standout D.J. Williams has offered up his services to Pittman on Friday.
“Ok Coach Sam Pittman. Let me go ahead and coach them tight ends and recruit!!! Yessir!!!! #WPS,” Williams tweeted on Friday.
Williams played for Arkansas from 2007-2010, registering 152 catches for 1,855 yards and 10 touchdowns during his four seasons on The Hill.
We’ll soon find out if Pittman takes Williams up on his offer.
