Tennessee QB Joshua Dobbs was name a 2016 team captain and received the Peyton Manning Award during the festivities at Saturday’s spring game.

It was a big day with smiles all the way around.

That’s why the newly minted leader was not going to let one of his little followers leave the Orange and White game with a frown on his face.

A Vols fan posted a video to Twitter to express a little boy’s disappointment in not meeting the Tennessee quarterback during the spring game.

She tagged Dobbs on the message in hopes of receiving a “shout out” from the little boy’s hero.

But Dobbs did way more than that.

Two hours and 14 minutes passed from the time Dobbs posted on Twitter that he was going to make that up and the moment he posted this photograph:

Dobbs found the little guy, and he turned that frown upside down during a photo opp that the little boy is sure to treasure for years to come.

The little boy wasn’t the Vols fan pleased with Dobbs on Saturday, and the rising senior showed his love right back to the Vols fan base during his final spring game on campus:
