Just in case Alabama hoops was not scary enough, the Crimson Tide are about to get better. St. Bonaventure transfer Dominick Welch is expected to make his Crimson Tide debut Wednesday night against No. 21 Mississippi State.

Welch will be on a minutes restriction, according to Stadium’s Jeff Goodman.

This is a big addition for the Crimson Tide ahead of what will be a difficult contest for one of the SEC’s best teams. The Bulldogs, under first-year coach Chris Jans, have started the season 11-1 and host the red-hot Crimson Tide looking to add a strong win to their resume.

Nothing is given in conference play and the Crimson Tide will need every strong minute they can get. Welch, who was a 37% 3-poitn shooter and a workhorse for St. Bonaventure last season before transferring, can make an immediate impact.
