Donald Trump, Florida lawmakers spread blame, demand answers from CFP committee
Donald Trump and a couple of Florida lawmakers put the College Football Playoff committee on blast after not letting Florida State in.
Trump wrote on social media to blame Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for the blunder. Trump called DeSantis “DeSanctimonious” on the rant.
“Florida State was treated very badly by the ‘Committee.’ They become the first Power Five team to be left out of the College Football Playoffs,” said Trump. “Really bad lobbying effort… Lets blame DeSanctimonious!!!”
U.S. Senator Rick Scott also weighed in on the matter. He wants Playoff committee Chairman Boo Corrigan to explain the process that led to the Seminoles not making it.

Florida Congressman Jared Moskowitz announced that he is circulating a letter and will be doing a resolution condemning the decision to leave Florida State out of the playoff.
He said the decision came down to TV money.

Florida State didn’t make the Playoff, even though it finished with an undefeated record and won the ACC Championship over Louisville. The Seminoles are set to face Georgia in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 30.
