This isn’t new, but it is certainly interesting given who has been dominating the national news in recent weeks.
Back in 2013, which was former Crimson Tide QB AJ McCarron’s final season at Alabama, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was a big fan of the national championship winning quarterback.
Don’t believe me?
Let the Donald tell you himself:
@10AJMcCarron Great game against Tennessee by the most unappreciated (by the media) quarterback in college football – and no more tattoos!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 27, 2013
Apparently, Trump doesn’t care for the sports media either.
McCarron, who is now a member of the Cincinnati Bengals and expecting a child with his wife Katherine (of Brent Musburger fame), did not seem to follow through with Trump’s request that he cool it on the tattoos.
