Former LSU cornerback Donte Jackson is out for the season after an MRI confirmed that he tore his Achilles on Thursday night as he was forced to exit the Carolina Panthers’ 25-15 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

With this, Jackson’s season ends with a total of 35 tackles (32 solo), 3 passes defensed, 2 interceptions and 1 touchdown.

Carolina is expected to rely on the likes on CJ Henderson, Keith Taylor and Jaycee Horn while Jackson is sidelined. The Panthers face the Baltimore Ravens up next on the schedule at noon CT on Sunday in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Just as he has consistently shown to be, expect Jackson to come back as a force within the Panthers secondary when he is able to return to the field next season.
