Dre Greenlaw was a key part of the Arkansas defense during his college career, eventually leading to him being selected by the 49ers in the 5th round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He ended up stepping into a great situation as the Niners entered its Thursday Night Football matchup against the Cardinals at 7-0 and looking for its first 8-0 start in nearly 3 decades.

They did just that, holding off a Cardinals 4th-quarter comeback to win 28-25 and remain undefeated. It was a highlight night for Greenlaw, who recorded his first NFL sack in the 2nd quarter. His celebration, though, went a little wrong.

Here’s another look:

Ouch.

In Greenlaw’s defense, he can’t be blamed for celebrating, but unfortunately, the celebration became a little uncomfortable for one of his teammates. You can see Warner immediately reach for where he was kicked, but the good news for him is that NFL players have plenty of protection, including in that precise part of the body.

Here’s to plenty more sacks for the former Arkansas Razorback. But there’s sure to be some good-natured teasing and ribbing in the film room next week during video sessions as the 49ers prepare to host the Seahawks on Nov. 11.
