The LSU Tigers couldn’t have scripted a better start to the Peach Bowl against Oklahoma on Saturday.

First, they won the coin toss and deferred, letting the Sooners start with the ball. The LSU defense was up to the task, tackling the Sooners behind the line of scrimmage on all 3 plays during the first drive.

That gave the Tigers the ball in Sooner territory to start, and they made quick work of marching down the field, scoring on this incredible effort from Justin Jefferson:

That was an ideal start, to say the least, and now LSU holds a 7-0 lead in the early going of Saturday’s game.

Can the offense keep lighting up the scoreboard? We’ll find out shortly.
