Drew Brees is keeping a close eye on college football in 2022.
The former NFL and Purdue star has been seen on the Boilermakers sidelines this season in Week 0. On Saturday, however, he’s watching Alabama at Texas.
Late in the first quarter, Texas QB Quinn Ewers left the game with a left shoulder injury. Pass rusher Dallas Turner was called for a personal foul hit on the quarterback for driving him into the ground. Ewers went to the locker room and hasn’t returned to the game.
Brees, however, was watching Alabama-Texas, and he reacted to Ewers’ injury on Instagram.
“If it’s an AC joint separation…locker room, shoot it up, put on a harness, and shot gun snaps only the rest of the game. You got this young buck!” Brees shared.
Prior to leaving the game, Ewers was 9-of-12 for 134 yards.
Will Ewers return in the second half?
