Lindsey Scott Jr. has received an offer from Missouri, according to Jimmy D. Smith of the TP/Nola.com. That’s an upgrade from an earlier report by the Sun Herald when Scott said that said Tulane was recruiting him the hardest. But with Missouri QB Drew Lock’s decision about leaving for the NFL pending sooner than later, the Tigers could have zeroed in on their quarterback of the future.

Scott Jr., who previously played for LSU, helped East Mississippi to a Mississippi Bowl victory and fourth NJCAA National Championship. In 12 games for EMCC this season, the redshirt freshman completed 64.8 percent of his passes for 3,481 yards and 29 touchdowns against 11 interceptions. He also rushed for 729 yards and six touchdowns.

Among the offers Scott reportedly holds along with Tulane and now Missouri, are UTSA, Kansas, Georgia State, New Mexico State and Western Michigan.

Scott will have three years of eligibility remaining following his stint at the junior college largely known for the Netflix series “Last Chance U.”

Scott has drawn headlines for several years, including being named the Gatorade Louisiana Football Player of the Year in 2015. He was the top-ranked quarterback in Louisiana and the No. 26 dual-threat QB in the nation in 2016, according to 247Sports.
