Former Tennessee defensive tackle Owen Williams got under the bar to participate in the bench press at the school’s Pro Day, and he proceeded to amaze.

Williams threw up 225 pounds like a rag doll on Wednesday, 42 times to be exact, a total that would’ve beaten everyone at the NFL Combine. By eight reps.

Watch the beast at work as the weights tremble.

Williams also ran a surprising 4.95 in the 40-yard dash.

Another player that displayed an impressive combo of speed and strength was safety Brian Randolph. According to Volquest.com, safety Brian Randolph ran a 4.47 and a 4.42 in the 40-yard dash, quieting doubters of his speed. Not only that, Randolph had 32 reps on the bench press, an outstanding number for a safety. No defensive back (safety or cornerback) put up more than 22 reps at the NFL Combine.

Receiver Marquez North had already run a respectable 4.49 in Indy, but he clearly felt he could do better, and he did. North posted a 4.42 and a 4.41 on Wednesday.

Walk-on defensive back Max Arnold posted a time of 4.4 with a 10-foot, 1-inch broad jump and a 36-inch vertical jump for maybe the most impressive overall performance of the day.

Also worth mentioning is offensive lineman Kyler Kerbyson, who had 32 reps on bench.

Rucker of the Knoxville News Sentinel also reported that there were representatives from 27 NFL teams and at least two Canadian Football League teams.
