Of all the players in Tuscaloosa this spring, you could argue the one with the most on his shoulders during camp is Dylan Moses.
The junior from Baton Rouge, La. is being called upon to step up and become the new voice of Nick Saban’s defense on the field with the departure of Mack Wilson to the NFL. Wilson struggled at times in his role last season on the field and if Alabama is going to get revenge by winning another national championship, it will likely be in part to the strides Moses can make this offseason.
If there’s one player born to play the role, Moses is that guy. The prodigy recruit has been highly coveted on the recruiting trail dating back to his middle school days and he’s lived up to the hype thus far in Tuscaloosa. The linebacker was named to the SEC’s All-Freshman team two seasons ago and earned All-SEC accolades from the league’s coaches as a sophomore.
Now that he’s proven himself on the field, Moses faces the challenge of stepping up and being a desperately needed leader for Saban’s football program. Based on the latest video to come out of Tuscaloosa, Moses is beginning to fill that void on the practice field:
