EA Sports is continuing the build-up to the much-anticipated release of the College Football 25 video game. Last released over a decade ago, the re-introduction of the popular game is expected to be the best version of the game to date.
On Wednesday, EA Sports released the full list of the top 100 player rankings featured in the video game. The list features 100 players with an overall rating of 90 or better, headlined by Michigan defensive back Will Johnson with a 96 overall.
LSU offensive lineman Will Campbell is the top SEC player at No. 2 overall and also carries a 96 rating. Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II is No. 3 overall and rounds out the 96 ratings. It’s worth noting Johnson, Campbell and Gordon all share the same overall rating, but EA Sports ranked them in that specific order, so make of that what you will.
Within the top 10, Michigan, Ohio State and Georgia lead the way with 2 players apiece. Tennessee, LSU, Colorado and Oklahoma State all have 1 each in the top 10.
Johnson headlines the group as the top player for the defending national champions. A former 5-star prospect, the rising junior was a lockdown corner in Michigan’s 2023 season with 4 interceptions, a pick-6 and 4 pass breakups. He stepped up in the biggest moments with an interception against Ohio State and another in the CFP National Championship vs. Washington.
As for Campbell, the rising junior is already a 2-year starter for the Tigers and was a first-team All-SEC selection in 2023. He should factor into all the major award races for linemen this fall.

To no surprise, the teams with multiple players ranked in the top 10 are all top 10 teams in regard to the latest national championship odds for 2024. Georgia (+320) and Ohio State (+400) lead the way on DraftKings while Michigan (+2500) is tied for 9th. Fans can use SDS’s best apps to bet on sports to track the latest line movement and all the offers this fall.
Texas (+750) and Oregon (+850), the No. 3 and No. 4 teams on the latest odds, did not produce a single player in the top 10, and the Ducks did not produce a player in the top 20. Texas LT Kelvin Banks Jr. (No. 13 overall) is the only Longhorn in the top 20 overall.
