Early betting trends suggest very tight championship game

Georgia and Alabama are gearing up for Monday’s National Championship Game in Atlanta, and the early betting trends suggest that the battle between the two teams may be a tight one.
According to ESPN gambling writer David Payne Purdum, there is less than $1,000 separating the two teams. There is certainly enough evidence to make a case for either team winning, and it sounds like betters are having a tough time deciding where to place their money.
Alabama dominated a defensive battle against Clemson in the Sugar Bowl while Georgia went on to win a shootout over Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl. While this game will likely not be as high scoring as the Rose Bowl, both teams look prepared to go toe-to-toe with one another regardless of the game tempo.
Early betting action on UGA-Alabama very even @CGTechnology_. "Less than $1K separating both teams," says @jsimbal.
