Eastern Michigan epically trolls iconic Herm Edwards quote after beating Arizona State

Eastern Michigan was by no means a heavy favorite to come into Tempe, Arizona and beat the Arizona State Sun Devils 30-21. But that is exactly what they did on Saturday, and the Eagles didn’t go quite, taking a jab at ASU coach Herman Edwards via Twitter.
“The only way to describe tonight…,” the tweet read. Within it was the quote “You play to win the game,” with the final score below it.

This marks EMU’s second win of the season after they opened it with a 42-34 victory over Eastern Kentucky before falling 41-29 to the Louisiana Rain Cajuns. The team faces Buffalo up next on Saturday, Sept. 24.
