Laremy Tunsil is now locked up in Miami through the 2020 season.

After starting 44 games in his young NFL career, the Dolphins announced they have exercised the fifth-year option on Tunsil to keep him employed for the next two seasons. The 13th overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft started 15 games at left tackle for the Dolphins following his standout college career in Oxford.

Last season, Tunsil allowed only one sack.

During his three seasons playing at Ole Miss, Tunsil was named to at least one All-SEC at the conclusion of each season. He famously fell in the 2016 NFL Draft after video of Tunsil in a makeshift gas mask bong was released leading up to the 2016 NFL Draft but the Dolphins felt good enough about his talents to select the offensive lineman in the first round.

That decision has paid off for all parties as Tunsil is now scheduled to make $9.7 million for the 2020 season.
