On Thursday night, LSU coach Ed Orgeron addressed the media for the final time before the Tigers’ season-opener against Georgia Southern on Saturday in Death Valley.

Orgeron shared the final update on injuries just two days away from kickoff. The news on the injury front is mostly positive.

Coach O told reporters that offensive tackle Saahdiq Charles, who missed practice on Wednesday, is “ready to go” and “available to play.” Defensive backs Kristian Fulton and Jay Ward have been banged up a bit. In the case of Fulton, who has been dealing with a minor injury, Orgeron labeled him “90 percent” ready to play. LG Chase Hines is still dealing with camp injuries, meaning Adrian Magee will likely get the start against GSU.

When it came to absences due to suspension, Orgeron wasn’t ready to make any announcements.

“We’re gonna handle all that in-house just like I did last year,” Orgeron said when asked about suspensions at his Thursday press conference.
