Ed Orgeron has been out of coaching since finishing the 2021 season as LSU’s head coach. While he appears to be happy with his time off (for the time being), he’s coming out of retirement for a new role away from the football field.
Popular activewear brand Rhoback dropped a video explaining Coach O is being onboarded as an “interim CEO” for the brand. Needless to say, Coach O’s skill set has an interesting crossover into the business world.
“I’m about to go on maternity leave, as you can see,” said Kristina Loftus, co-founder of the brand. “And, we need to hire an interim CEO here at Rhoback. Our first call was to my dear friend and national champion, Coach O. He’s taking our warehouse to the next level.
“Needless to say, he’s an excellent motivator. He also started a new slogan for the company (Go Reauxback). It is so fun to see him in the trenches with our design and marketing teams. And to cap it off, he finishes every day with a press conference. We honestly couldn’t feel more comfortable leaving the company in such amazing hands.”
Other aspects of the video include Coach O pitching more purple color schemes and tiger print clothing. He also has a sit-down moment with the brand’s mascot, a dog, to say he would prefer the logo be a tiger instead.
