There has been a lot of talk that star redshirt sophomore Texas A&M linebacker Edgerrin Cooper was set to enter the transfer portal or possibly even the NFL Draft. He cleared those rumors up Saturday afternoon.
Cooper released a video on Twitter Saturday pledging to stay with the Aggies, stating “Staying where I belong, owe y’all too much! Let’s work.”

That’s a big deal for an Aggies program that does not currently have much to be excited about. The Aggies, after being thought of as a national title contender preseason, finished the year with just 5 wins.
By no fault of Cooper, however. The 6-foot-3 linebacker totaled 61 tackles, 1 forced fumble and recovery, an interception and 5 pass deflections this season. He has 121 total tackles through 3 years in College Station.
