Ole Miss earned a huge win on Saturday afternoon, upsetting cross-state rival and fourth-ranked Mississippi State in the 111th Egg Bowl.

The win revived a Rebels team (9-3, 5-3 SEC) decimated by injuries and a midseason skid, garnering Ole Miss’ its ninth win and a potential New Year’s Six bowl.

The win vaulted the Rebels in the latest Amway Coaches Poll and Associated Press Top 25.

In the latest Coaches Poll, Ole Miss is up five spots from No. 19 to No. 14. The Rebels sit between a pair of SEC East counterparts in Missouri and Georgia.

In the AP Top 25, Hugh Freeze’s club rose 4 spots to No. 13.
