The Missouri Tigers got a monster win on Saturday against the Tennessee Volunteers, as the Tigers knocked off the Volunteers, 36-7.

It was a great team win, but running back Cody Schrader stole the day with one of the best performances ever by a Missouri running back.

Schrader, a former D2 star, finished the game with 35 carries for 205 yards and 1 touchdown. While he dominated on the ground, he also had 5 catches for 116 yards. His 321 yards from scrimmage were only 12 yards short of the school record set by Devin West in 1998.

After the game, Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz had high praise for his running back.

“The way he runs, you are going to have to sacrifice your body to tackle him,” Drinkwitz said.  “Because he’s sacrificing his. It’s like a big game of chicken, and he ain’t no chicken.”

The Tigers are currently having their best season in almost a decade. The team is 8-2 with games against Florida and at Arkansas to end the year.

If the Tigers win both of these games, the team could be in line for a big-time bowl game – potentially a NY6, which would be a huge step in the right direction for Missouri.
