Eli Drinkwitz explains how he has upgraded the Mizzou offense

Eli Drinkwitz and the Missouri Tigers face an important 2022 season. The Tigers have been bowl-eligible in each of Drinkwitz’s first 2 seasons, but this year, fans expect a step forward.
Helping in that quest will be an elite recruiting class, led by 5-star WR Luther Burden.
On Wednesday, Drinkwitz joined “McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning” on WJOX and discussed how the Missouri receiver room has become a position of strength:

“I think just trying to use the new college football rules to your advantage and then recruiting your home state the hardest,” he said. “We’ve been able to add 3 really dynamic players from our home state — Luther Burden, Dominic Lovett and Mookie Cooper. Those guys give us the opportunity to be really explosive. We just continue to recruit and develop guys JJ Hester, Mekhi Miller and Chance Luper. Those guys have length and speed. Then, of course, we’ve got the wily vets — Tauskie Dove and Barrett Banister. That room, for us, went from a position of weakness to a strength.”
Can Burden and the Tigers take a big step forward offensively? We’ll see who wins the starting QB job. This spring, Brady Cook and Tyler Macon battled it out. But, freshman Sam Horn will join the competition this summer, and a transfer QB might be in the mix, too.
