Eli Drinkwitz hints at possible extension for defensive coordinator Blake Baker

One of the few things Mizzou fans can hang their hats on this season has been defensive coordinator Blake Baker. The Tigers have been solid defensively for all their woes on offense, and head coach Eli Drinkwitz hinted Wednesday that he could be staying around for some time.
An extension may be coming in the near future for Baker.
Drinkwitz anticipates there will be news in 24 hours “that Coach Baker is going to be our defensive coordinator for a long time here.”

Baker started his college coaching career at Texas as a graduate assistant and has made stops at Louisiana Tech, Miami, LSU and finally Mizzou this season. The Tigers are allowing the 3rd fewest yards by opponents through Week 9 of the season.
