Eli Drinkwitz names worst visitor’s locker room in the SEC: ‘It’s not even close’

SEC coaches were collectively asked about a controversial topic during SEC Media Days last week in Atlanta: visitor’s locker rooms.

The SEC Network polled coaches on visiting locker rooms across the league. After it became clear that no one had anything nice to say about anyone’s visitor’s accommodations, the conversation turned to who has the “worst” setup in the league.

Mizzou coach Eli Drinkwitz didn’t hesitate with his answer.

“It’s Tennessee, it’s not even close,” Drinkwitz said. “Terrible.”

Here’s a clip of the segment from SEC Network:

Drinkwitz and the Tigers have made 2 trips to Knoxville and were crushed in both games. In 2020, the Vols won 35-12. In 2022, Hendon Hooker and Tennessee stuck a whopping 66 points on Mizzou in a blowout victory. Given those outcomes, it’s not too surprising that Drinkwitz didn’t enjoy his time at Neyland Stadium.

Mizzou did snap a losing streak to Tennessee in 2023, however, with a blowout win of their own in Columbia.

Missouri and Tennessee are not on each other’s schedules in 2025, but it’s possible Drinkwitz will have to endure Tennessee’s visiting locker room at some point in the future.
