A Missouri football player has tested positive for COVID-19, Tigers coach Eli Drinkwitz revealed on his weekly radio show on Thursday.

Along with the one that tested positive, 6 others were found to have been in contact with the unnamed player through tracing methods and will be held out of Saturday’s game against LSU in Columbia as a precaution. Further tests on Mizzou football players were performed on Thursday, with the final results of those pending.

The game was originally scheduled to be played at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge on Saturday night, but due to adverse weather being forecast for the Gulf Coast region with Hurricane Delta set to make landfall in the United States at some point on Friday, the SEC announced on Wednesday that the 2 teams would instead play at Mizzou’s home of Faurot Field.

Kickoff between LSU and Missouri is set for noon ET on Saturday and will be televised on ESPN.
