Missouri is off on Saturday, as it has its bye week.

And it comes at a good time for the Tigers.

Not only has Missouri lost 3 tough games in a row, it also needs to get some of its key players healthy, including starting quarterback Brady Cook and 5-star freshman Luther Burden III.

“Bye week came at a great time for our team to recharge and refresh and get healthy,” said Eli Drinkwitx during the weekly SEC coaches teleconference Wednesday.

Drinkwitz then turned his attention specifically to Cook and Burden

“Both of those guys will be full speed, I anticipate, by Sunday when we hit full speed,” Drinkwitz added. “This week, we’re keeping them out of contact and getting them healthy.”

Drinkwitz was then asked what he plans to do with his free time this week. He said he’ll watch his children play sports

“I sit in the outfield and I just enjoy watching my kids compete,” he said. “I very rarely say anything. … I don’t coach. I sure don’t get on officials. I enjoy being present and I think it’s been really good for me.”

The Tigers return to action with a home game against Vanderbilt on Saturday, Oct. 22.
