Fresh off a big win over Kansas State, Missouri will take the big stage in St. Louis at The Dome at America’s Center for the first time in 13 years.

“Our entire focus has shifted and we’re done with last week. We’re focused on this week and this opponent,” Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz told reporters on Tuesday.

Drinkwitz also credited the athletics department for making the St. Louis game a possibility for the 18 St. Louis-area players. He added that work is underway to have a similar game in Kansas City.

“There’s an excitement to go back and play. They’re getting hit up about tickets … it’s fun and unique … whenever your university comes home to play it’s something to be really proud of,” Drinkwitz said.

Missouri (3-0) will face Memphis (3-0) as both teams seek a 4-0 start to the season on Saturday. Drinkwitz doesn’t want his squad to overlook Memphis after edging a ranked opponent in K-State.

“I think we took advantage of the opportunity that was presented to us,” he said. “But to live in the past is to die in the present. It’s only going to matter if we continue to put our best foot forward this week and focus on this week’s opponent and we’ve got to move on. Enjoy the moment, be present and you can’t live in the past. We’ve got to present on toughness Tuesday.”
