Texas A&M’s 2023 recruiting class is off to a strong start as the Aggies just picked up commitment No. 2 of the program’s future recruiting class.

While we are currently in the middle of the 2022 recruiting cycle, Jimbo Fisher’s program just landed its second pledge of the 2023 recruiting cycle as four-star Louisiana quarterback Eli Holstein has announced his commitment to the Aggies.

“In honor of my pawpaw and my grandpa, both of whom I lost this year, I know this decision would make them proud. With that being said I am committing to Texas A&M University,” Holstein shared on Twitter.

The 6-foot-3, 212-pound Holstein is currently rated as the No. 7 quarterback and a top 125 overall prospect nationally in the 2023 recruiting cycle. He picked Texas A&M over scholarship offers from Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Ohio State, Penn State, among others.

The Zachary High School standout led his team to the 5A state quarterfinal round last season during his sophomore year at the school.
