Elite 5-star DE Eyabi Anoma on committing to Alabama: ‘It’s the Nick Saban era’

Alabama landed its first 5-star 2018 commit on Wednesday, when Baltimore-area DE Eyabi Anoma — the No. 7 overall player in the class of 2018 — chose the Crimson Tide.
What made Alabama stand out over Michigan, Maryland and other schools pursuing Anoma? Anoma answered that after making his decision.
Anoma explained that it all comes down to coach Nick Saban, who he said consistently churns out elite players and sends them on to the NFL:

Now, Alabama has it’s first elite player and will surely land more as the day and week goes on. There are still two days left in the early signing period, and Saban and his coaching staff aren’t done yet.
Alabama now has the No. 2 class in the SEC and the No. 6 class nationally, per 247Sports. It’ll be tough for Alabama to catch Georgia in the SEC rankings, but the Tide could still improve their national ranking.
