Elite Georgia WR Kearis Jackson commits to UGA over Alabama

The Bulldogs picked up a huge commitment Saturday from in-state WR Kearis Jackson.

The Peach County (Fort Valley, Ga.) product announced he was choosing the home-state Bulldogs over his 23 other offers, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

“I committed to Georgia because it felt like home,” Jackson told Dawgs247. “I know all of the coaches, all of the players – it just really felt like home to me. Everytime I visit, I know everyone and everyone knows me. I am comfortable. I am excited. I just cannot wait to put on the pads and show what I can do.”

Measuring 5-foot-11, 203 pounds with a 4.53 40-yard dash time, Jackson is rated the No. 14 Peach State recruit, No. 26 wide receiver and No. 127 overall prospect by the 247Sports Composite.

Georgia now has 12 commitments in a 2018 class which ranks No. 24 nationally and No. 8 in the SEC. Jackson’s highlights can be viewed below:
