SEC schools are in position to land an elite shooting guard out of Tallahassee, Florida in Jaylen Martin (Florida State University School).
Martin is 6-foot-6 and he told On3 that he has narrowed his list of schools to 7, including Florida, Georgetown, Ole Miss, Georgia, Cincinnati, Wake Forest, and Texas Tech.
He is rated the No. 12 player in the state of Florida in the Class of 2022, and the No. 19 small forward in America, according to the 247Sports Composite.
About Florida, he said, “I have a good relationship with Coach (Al) Pinkins, that’s who’s recruiting me. I went on a visit there in June and I liked it up there, it was pretty nice.”
Ole Miss: “It’s in the SEC conference,” Martin said. “I won’t say it’s the new wave of basketball but a lot of talent is coming out of the SEC. They have some tough competition. The thing they push out to me the most is… I’d be able to come in and play and they would help me develop.”
Georgia: “I just started talking to their coaches,” Martin said. “They said they play fast in transition, so they say I fit well into their system.”
2022 four-star Jaylen Martin is down to seven schools, he tells @On3Recruits.
