As if the distraught Tennessee fan base needed any more reason to not support the possible hire of Greg Schiano, one more piece of evidence surfaced on Sunday.
A Butch Jones-coached Cincinnati team beat a Schiano-coached Rutgers team, 69-38, in 2010.
Cincinnati quarterback Zach Collaros passed for 366 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in the win, while Isaiah Pead had 31 carries for 213 rushing yards, four TDs and one receiving TD. The win improved Cincinnati to 4-6 that season.
The Bearcats had 41 points in the first half alone and finished tied for third-most points in school history.
The Associated Press recap of the game included this: “No matter what type of defense Rutgers played, Cincinnati found a hole in it.”
On top of everything else negative about Schiano, his Rutgers team lost to Butch Jones and Cincinnati 69-38 in 2010.
