‘Entirely different QB:’ Arch Manning draws praise for dominant showing

Arch Manning and the Texas Longhorns have looked the part on Saturday against Vanderbilt.

As one X user pointed out on Saturday, Manning is playing like an entirely different quarterback right now against a Vanderbilt defense that has played good football this season. Through two and a half quarters, Texas leads Vanderbilt 31-10 and Manning has accounted for 291 yards (on 20/26 attempts) for 3 touchdowns.

Manning received unfair expectations throughout the offseason thanks in part to his last name, but he’s remedied the struggles that he had in the early season against Ohio State and other non-conference opponents. So far against the Commodores, Manning has been quick and decisive — and most importantly, accurate with the football. It helps that Texas’ offensive line has wholly and completely dominated the Vanderbilt D-line, too.

He really started it last week though, rallying to lead Texas all the way back for a win when the Longhorns appeared dead in the water against Mississippi State. Fans from around the county are beginning to take notice to what has been Manning’s best game as a Longhorn.

Here’s some of the best reaction we found from around X.
