The Arkansas Razorbacks have had to revamp their support staff and assistant coach ranks under Eric Musselman this offseason.
But, on Tuesday, Musselman landed someone to take on an important role on his support staff.
As you can see below, the Arkansas head coach took to Twitter to welcome Mike Ekanem to the staff as the director of player development:
Excited to announce the addition of Mike Ekanem to our staff! Having previously worked with Mike, he understands our culture and philosophies. Mike also has an NBA background having worked with the @spurs which will be a great addition to our staff’s NBA experience! pic.twitter.com/qiD5Bf0TmW

As Musselman notes, Ekanem has worked with the San Antonio Spurs, and Musselman lauded that NBA experience.
Arkansas made it to the Elite 8 last season. But, there are a lot of new faces in Fayetteville ahead of the 2021-22 season. We’ll see if the Hogs can make another deep NCAA Tournament run.
