Exactly two weeks after the Erin Andrews trial started, the Nashville jury has come to a decision.

The Tennesseean reported on Monday that the FOX Sports broadcaster has been awarded $55 million that will be paid by the stalker who filmed her in her hotel room and posted the nude video online and the Nashville Marriott’s management group and owner.

Andrews posted this on Twitter this afternoon.

Michael David Barrett, who secretly recorded her through an altered peephole in her room at Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University in September 2008, is 51 percent at fault in the case. Meanwhile, the hotel owner and management company are on the hook for the remaining 49 percent.

The jury came to their decision after seven hours of deliberation.

Wendy Thurm, who contributes stories surrounding sports law for several publications, had this to say after the ruling in regards to the money awarded to Andrews.
