ESPN All-America 2023: Preseason selections include 12 SEC stars

The ESPN All-America preseason picks for the 2023 season are out! From the first-team selections, the SEC placed 12 stars on ESPN’s list.
The stars featured include Mackey Award winner and returning First-Team All-American Brock Bowers out of Georgia. Quinshon Judkins, fresh off an SEC Freshman of the Year honor and over 1,500 yards rushing, was also named to ESPN’s list.
In his description of the nominations, ESPN’s Chris Low explained the preseason list includes career production along with projection. Consultation with college coaches, NFL scouts and colleagues are also included to try and determine “who we think will be the best players on the field this season.”
Georgia led the preseason selections with 5 players. Alabama also placed 3 players on ESPN’s list.
