The College Football Playoff semifinals will be held on New Year’s Day and should go down as some of the best games of the year.
In New Orleans, No. 1 Clemson will take on No. 4 Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, while No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 3 Georgia will square off in Pasadena at the Rose Bowl.
On Sunday afternoon, ESPN analyst Booger McFarland tweeted his picks for the games, saying he likes Clemson and Georgia to advance to the national championship game:
I’ll take Clemson and Georgia tomorrow night

He elaborated on that point a bit later, saying he thinks Alabama and Oklahoma will have trouble scoring points on Monday:
While I think any of the 4 teams can win tomorrow I think the Biggest surprises tomorrow would be if Oklahoma or Alabama some how get in the 30’s against their respective opponents without defensive or special teams TD’s

Whatever ends up happening, the games are sure to be exciting, as some of college football’s best players will be taking the field on Monday night.
Tune in to the Rose Bowl at 5 p.m. Eastern time on ESPN, followed by the Sugar Bowl at 8:45 p.m. Eastern time, also on ESPN.
